Vogue Editor, Anna Wintour, is made a Dame for her contributions to fashion

Dressed in Chanel couture, British-born, Anna Wintour, was made a dame by The Queen at Buckingham Palace today, May 5, for her contributions to the fashion and journalism industry.

Editor-In-Chief of American Vogue for almost 30 years, and British Vogue before that, the 67-year-old’s reputation which has made her an icon in the fashion world.

Recognisable from her trademark bob and dark sunglasses, she sits in front rows worldwide and is one of fashion’s most powerful and influential people.

Wintour had just returned from the annual Met Gala, a fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, on May 2 where she also wore Chanel.
