Announcing the news back in April on Reuters.com, fashion retailer, Bebe, most known for its bodycon dresses, will be closing all of its stores by the end of May.

The Californian brand has faced four years of steady losses after struggling against other retailers like Zara and H&M.

Founded in 1976, all of the brands 175 stores will close by the end of this month; another sad loss for the high street and growing evidence of online taking over the shopping and retail industry.

According to Bloomberg, they reported that the brand for the ‘confident and sexy women’ is “planning to shut its stores and seek a turnaround as an online brand”.

Although the brand will close its brick-and-mortar stores, it is believed that it will still continue online.
