Maybelline sells seven of THIS product every 15 seconds

We all now how quickly the beauty and blogging industry can influence our buying habits, as well as make or break a beauty product –  but the success of one particular product by Maybelline may surprise you.

It’s not the Great Lash mascara, it’s not the Nudes palette and its not the Fit Me foundation.

According to Vogue, seven tubes of Maybelline Baby Lips balm sell every fifteen seconds.

Since its launch in the UK back in August 2013, the OG of the lip balm world continues to dominate beauty hauls worldwide.

Priced at only £3.99, the product is available in a variety of colours, scents, limited editions, and collections (including the Dr Rescue).

According to the Maybelline website, the Baby Lips lip balm provides eight hour hydration, an exclusive formula which moisturizes and protects lips for a full eight hours. After one week, lips are visibly renewed. 88% experienced more smooth lips 83% experienced better-looking lips 82% experienced less dry lips 70% experienced more supple lips.

Its popularity has resulted in various other ‘Baby’ lines from Maybelline, from Baby Lips crayons, glosses and stains, to Baby Face pore minimisers and face primers.

Baby Lips were first launched in Japan in 2010 and, due to their popularity, quickly launched in the US a year later in 2011.
