Primark is known for doing all sorts of collaborations and collections, from Harry Potter and Bridal limited edition lines, to designers dupes as well as makeup and hair styling ranges – now the budget retailer has just announced that they will be launching a sustainable cotton clothing line.
The high street store have joined forces with Cotton Connect and the Self Employed Women’s Association to help support and make a difference to cotton farmers and sustainable cotton production.
According to Huffington Post, Primark’s ethical trade and environmental sustainability director, Katherine Stewart, said: “Our long-term ambition is to ensure that all the cotton we use is sustainably sourced. For us, sustainable cotton is about reducing the environmental impact of cotton production, improving the livelihoods of the farmers, and doing so in a way that means we continue to deliver great value to our customers.”
Keep your eye out for the collection, which starts at £6, in Primark stores soon!
